OVERVIEW

Le Petit Patisserie blends French pastry traditions with whimsical, storybook charm, creating a magical world where pastries become an enchanting experience.

Role: Lead Illustrator

The Challenge

Le Petit Patisserie aimed to create a magical, storybook-inspired bakery brand without feeling overly childish. The brand design needed to balance sophistication and playful charm, and blend storytelling throughout the customer journey, while being able to connect physical and digital touchpoints seamlessly. Above all, the digital experience had to offer a clear, intuitive checkout flow for users to place orders with ease.

The Approach

Le Petit Patisserie’s storybook brand was translated into a digital experience that balanced whimsy with usability. Pastel tones, refined typography, and celestial motifs created charm, while structured grids, clear menus, and a streamlined checkout ensured clarity. Branding elements were adapted for accessibility and intuitive interaction across the platform.

Brand Identity

The visual identity evokes a magical, story-driven bakery experience, balancing fantasy and elegance to feel memorable, approachable, and instantly recognizable.

Logo

The logo combines whimsical charm with bold simplicity: a playful hand-drawn typeface in white on a royal-blue backdrop. A golden crown atop the “L” nods to The Little Prince, reinforcing the brand’s celestial spirit. Its bright contrast and clean design make it instantly recognizable, while the friendly form conveys warmth and approachability.

Visual and Verbal Identity

The visual identity pairs whimsical charm with bold simplicity, using a palette of royal blue, yellow, and lavender to evoke a dreamy, celestial feel. Playful typography, starry illustrations, organic shapes, and bold packaging make the brand both magical and recognizable.

Interactivity

The website’s interactive flow guides users through a storybook-like journey. Clear navigation, responsive product visuals, and subtle cues make exploration intuitive, while interactive touches like e category filters and real-time order updates keep the experience engaging. Overall, the flow balances delight and functionality, ensuring that users feel immersed in the magic of the brand from start to finish.

Product Flow

The product flow was designed to make ordering pastries as seamless and magical as visiting the bakery. Customers start on the homepage, explore the menu through clear categories and vivid visuals, and can easily learn about the bakery’s mission or reach out via the contact page.

Purchase Flow

The checkout is streamlined with delivery or pickup options, playful microcopy, and a thank-you page showing estimated timing, creating a flow that balances clarity with whimsy and feels as magical as visiting the bakery in person.
